Prince Charming
So Monday night was the premiere of The Bachelor: Rome. An Italian prince named Lorenzo. Apparenlty he's from one of the most famous families in Italian history. There was a pope, a Cardinal and allegedly a relative that married Napoleon's sister. Anyways, I've never heard of him or his family so they must not be that famous. Lorenzo grew up in America and barely speaks Italian so I don't quite understand how he can be an Italian Prince, but whatever.
So Lorenzo isn't bad looking, but he could definately use a haircut. He also seems to have a great personality, so I'm sure all of the girls will quickly fall for him and be devastated by him in the end.
This show has a horrible track record for couples staying together, so why women continue to sign up for it is beyond me...although I'm quite happy they do, because desperation makes for great tv.
So after a long night of endless champagne, Lornzo narrowed his choices down to 12 of the 27 drunken women he got to know throughout the night. Like last year, there is a Sarah Canada. Obviously I will cheer for her as long as she's around because love it when amazing fellow Canadians win reality shows. The girls who didn't get a rose last night were of course devastated because they had all fallen in love with him in the 3 to 15 minutes that they each got to spend with him. Some of the women did whatever they needed to do to get his attention or to stand out from the others. One woman sang opera from the balcony whilst he was chatting up two women in the courtyard below. Two women did scandelous dance moves for him. One women got him to hug a tree with her......and that seemed to work because she got the special first impression rose, complete with a pair of 2 carat diamond earrings. The things we do for love, hey??
The previews for the upcoming episodes seem typical. Women talking smack about each other, misleading clips and allegations of a crazy stalker chick. So we'll see what happens, I'm sure it will be interesting.
