Jumpin Jack Flash
I'm VERY pleased to say that I was among the 90,000 lucky Prairie-folk who got the chance to see the Rolling Stones live. This Thanxgiving weekend, Mic & The Boys came to the Queen City of Regina, Saskatchewan to play not one, but 2 amazing outdoor concerts. Last week, 80 semi-loads of miscellaneous crap transformed Taylor Field @ Mosaic Stadium.....home of the Saskatchewan Roughriders....into an atmosphere you have to see to understand. The stage was a gigantic monstrosity of metal....my sister described it as a spaceship with tentacles.I had won two tickets at work, and had originally planned to sell them and use the cash to buy myself a new purse....or maybe just some groceries. But when my boss gave me the tickets, he said that one of the stipulations of me winning them was that I had to actually go. So I did. And I have to tell you I wasn't all that excited about it, but I thought it would be a cool experience. Well it turned out to be the best concert I have ever seen in my 25 years. Those old guys sure know how to put on a show. I got a few pics with my phone, but nothing compared to these that were sent to me by a very lucky person who happened to get Second Row seats!!
If you ever get the chance to go see the Stones in concert, do it. I don't think they'll all be alive for much longer!!
